Adapter wiring harness for 1.8T - Conversion to TFSI ignition coils For old square ignition coil connectors (ME3.8) This adapter wiring harness allows all 1.8T engines with the old square ignition coil connector shape to be converted to modern high-performance TFSI ignition coils. Fits engine codes such as: AGU, AEB, ANB and many more Compact design - no cable clutter Our adapter cables are deliberately kept extra short, so that: no unnecessary cable loops are created the engine bay stays tidy there is no strain on the connectors a neat, close-to-OEM look is preserved Finally, an end to overlong universal adapters. How it works The adapter wiring harness is plugged in, plug & play, between: the original vehicle connectors and the new TFSI ignition coils. The modern TFSI ignition coils have an integrated ignition output stage, which eliminates the failure-prone external power output stage of the old 1.8T models. A matching bypass adapter for the external output stage is of course included.
