This aluminium pressure pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body for all listed 1.8-2.0 TSI Euro 6 engines on the MQB platform replaces the original hard plastic part. The larger pipe diameter of 63mm (60mm internal diameter > OEM only 53.7mm), combined with the flow-efficient design and the elimination of the stiffening ribs*, ensures increased airflow of 287.9cfm (measured on a flow bench). *these are used on the OEM pipe to prevent it from breaking if the clamps are overtightened. Another advantage: the standard part is a glued plastic pipe. Over time, and under the influence of temperature and pressure, the material becomes brittle and cracked. The result is broken connections or burst pressure lines. Not only annoying because of the defect, but above all a major risk to the turbocharger and engine. These properties also make the product ideal for tuned vehicles. The pressure pipe fits in combination with the original intercooler hoses as well as with our SF-Hoses silicone hoses. Facts: - Aluminium pressure pipe, black powder-coated - Perfect fit - Plug & play - Pressure- and temperature-resistant - Enlarged diameter / no reductions for maximum airflow - Flow-optimised for early response - Does not require registration, with certificate
