Downpipes play a key role in pulling power and performance. They are the “link” between the exhaust side of the turbocharger and the exhaust system. The catalytic converter developed by the HJS tuning experts has gone through every development stage. Made of stainless steel and sheathed in dimpled thermal insulation derived from motorsport, a high-tech tuning product is now available for BMW drivers. The significantly reduced exhaust back pressure of the HJS tuning catalytic converter not only lowers temperatures in the turbocharger but also gives a noticeably better engine response. Naturally, the improvement in power and torque can be clearly felt. In addition, the metal substrate used gives a more sonorous sound. With the ECE approval, no entry in the vehicle documents is required, nor is your manufacturer’s warranty affected, because, having passed the test, it counts as a replacement part. The advantages at a glance: • more torque, as the turbocharger reaches speed faster • lower exhaust gas temperature, which spares the manifold & turbocharger • the turbochargers can discharge the exhaust gases more easily, resulting in more power This downpipe replaces the standard catalytic converter with OE number: 18.32.8.602.882
