The B58 turbo inlet / intake pipe for BMW B58 engines from HF-Series is compatible with the standard intake systems. It is a very important component between the turbocharger and the intake system, because only when the entire path up to the turbocharger is optimised can the full potential of turbocharger and engine be made available. The new intake spigot was developed to allow maximum throughput and optimum flow, and as a result delivers a sensational increase of +41% in air flow. As the original component is restrictive and also has edges that impede the flow as well as 2 resonance chambers / silencers, it is not designed for performance but even creates turbulence and back pressure. This is the only way the air can reach the turbocharger with an optimum, even flow. The results are higher maximum power, improved response and a louder intake sound, which make converting to a carbon intake costing 3-4 times as much unnecessary. For the perfect intake upgrade, we recommend using it in combination with the Pipercross Lifetime performance air filter.
