EGO-X exhaust system for BMW F20/F21 135i/140i (3.5" / 89 mm). This EGO-X exhaust system was developed specifically for the BMW F20/F21 135i and 140i and offers an uncompromising combination of performance, quality and everyday usability. Made using precise TIG welding in our in-house workshop, the system consists of high-quality stainless steel pipes with a diameter of 3.5" (89 mm) and absorption-based silencers - with no chamber design. Product advantages at a glance: maximum performance thanks to an optimised pipe cross-section of 89 mm Significantly reduced exhaust back pressure for better engine delivery Handmade using TIG welding - durable and precise Deep, sporty sound without annoying drone frequencies Absorption silencers for harmonious sound design Robust stainless steel for corrosion resistance and high durability Suitable for tuned as well as stock vehicles - Pipe diameter: 3.5" (89mm) - Pipe material: stainless steel - Absorption silencer: handmade in-house - cat-back - TIG-welded. Fitting notes: BMW 135i (without OPF): an approx. 50 cm long OEM pipe section with an oval flex pipe must be carried over and cut off. Background: the connection diameter at this point is 83 mm - a complete system from the downpipe in 89 mm is not feasible, as it would have to be reduced to 76 mm because of the OEM design. This would create an unwanted bottleneck. To exploit the full performance, this OEM section is therefore retained. Models with OPF (petrol particulate filter): the OPF is located under the vehicle and is permanently integrated into the OEM system. The cut is made behind the OPF. The EGO-X is then fitted at this point using an adapter pipe and clamp. In rare cases where the OEM pipes have been drawn oval, fitting with a clamp is not possible - the adapter pipe then has to be welded in (time required: approx. 15-20 minutes). Note on HJS downpipes: with some HJS downpipes it may be necessary to adjust the connection angle to the exhaust system slightly. Scope of delivery: - Cat-back exhaust system - Cable material for connecting to the vehicle electronics - Vacuum hose for connecting the Bull-X Tronic to the exhaust valve - Tailpipes (optionally available) - Fitting instructions - Fitting kit - Bull-X Tronic control unit (if the ECE version is selected). When you buy this exhaust system you receive an exclusive T-shirt and a sticker pack from EGO-X free of charge! These are only available with the purchase of an EGO-X system and are not sold separately! With ECE operating licence*: *Only applies to the following selection in the “Operating mode” field: Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE operating licence). Info: with the ECE operating licence, the Bull-X Tronic control unit has to be programmed via PC. This valved exhaust system has ECE approval, so it can be used on the road without being entered in your vehicle documents. Caution: exhaust systems with ECE are not affected by the “valve ban” and may continue to be used completely legally on the road. While driving you can decide whether you want to drive in comfort or sport mode. If your vehicle has a drive profile selection, it can be controlled via that. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control can be via a supplied button. The button’s LED lighting tells you whether the valve is currently open (light off) or closed (light on). The control unit automatically closes the valve in all ranges required by the ECE regulation, regardless of which mode you are driving in. In general, the Bull-X Tronic offers two control options: - Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the approved limits of the ECE regulation, the valve is always open. When stationary, the valve is always closed. - Comfort mode: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the approved limits of the ECE regulation from 75% throttle opening. You can find more information in our info video. Without ECE operating licence*: *Applies to the following 3 options in the “Operating mode” field: exhaust valve control via switch / exhaust valve control via remote control / Bull-X Tronic “Race” CAN bus control unit. If the vehicle has a drive profile selection (sport button), control via this is also possible. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control can be via a supplied button. The button’s LED lighting tells you whether the valve is currently open (light off) or closed (light on). If you have also bought the Bull-X Tronic control unit, it is still possible to open the valve when stationary, but while driving the control unit regulates the exhaust valve according to ECE guidelines. In general, the Bull-X Tronic offers two control options: - Sport (Dynamic, Race) - Comfort mode (valve opens from 75% throttle opening). The “without ECE operating licence” version is not approved for use on public roads - For racing purposes only! CAUTION! The exhaust system offered is not approved under the German road traffic licensing regulations (StVZO)! With the ECE Bull-X Tronic control and the EC catalytic converter you may legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other controls and/or catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit an exhaust system WITHOUT ECE approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority.
