Because of the factory narrowing of the charge-air system between the turbocharger and the intercooler, HF-Series has developed the Turbooutlet Pipe specifically for customers who already own the HF-Series turbo outlet. The newly designed pressure pipe has a larger cross-section of 60mm and is optimised for the best possible flow conditions. As standard, the pressure pipe narrows down to 36mm. With the pressure pipe fitted, the charge air is delivered into the intercooler without turbulence and without restriction. If you do not yet have a turbo outlet, we recommend our Turbo Outlet Pipe Kit: VAG 1.8/2.0 TSI Euro 6 Turbooutlet Pipe Kit. Thanks to the certificate we supply, the pressure pipe does not require registration. Our turbo outlets have been developed further so that turbulence can no longer occur in them. As standard, the turbo outlet contains a resonance chamber and the pressure pipe narrows down to 36mm. The volumetric air flow is approx. 0.0171 m³/s* on the standard part and approx. 0.0340 m³/s* in the HF-Series version. Standard HF-Series Turbo outlet: -with resonance chamber -without resonance chamber and with 48 mm connection and 48 mm connection (if already fitted) Pressure pipe: -turbulence and -60mm throughout without narrowing narrowing to 36mm Volume flow: -approx. 0.0171 m³/s* -approx. 0.0340 m³/s* (*value determined at a reference inlet velocity of 12m/s) The optionally available aluminium pressure pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body for 1.8-2.0 TSI Euro 6 engines on the MQB platform replaces the original hard plastic part. The larger pipe diameter of 63mm (60mm inner diameter > OEM only 53.7mm), combined with the flow-efficient design and the elimination of the stiffening ribs*, ensures an increased air throughput of 287.9cfm (measured on a flow bench). *these are used on the OEM pipe to prevent it from breaking if the clamps are overtightened The factory part consists of a bonded plastic pipe. Over time, and under the influence of temperature and pressure, the material becomes brittle and cracked. The result is broken connections or burst pressure lines. Not only annoying because of the defect, but above all a major risk to the turbocharger and engine. Our product is pressure- and temperature-resistant, flow-optimised for earlier response and therefore also ideal for tuned vehicles. It also comes with a certificate and therefore does not require registration. The pressure pipe fits in combination with the original intercooler hoses as well as with our SF-Hoses silicone hoses.
