The upgrade intake pipe for the Ford Focus Mk3 RS ensures maximum air throughput and optimum flow. It also offers enough reserves to help even Stage 3 vehicles and vehicles with an upgrade turbocharger gain extra power. As the original intake pipe is restrictive and has edges that impede the flow, it is not designed for performance but even creates turbulence and back pressure. By contrast, our upgrade intake pipe was enlarged to the maximum diameter of 76mm following a 3D scan. As a result, replacing the original part with our intake spigot increased the air flow from 236cfm to a hefty 334cfm, an improvement of over 40%. The OEM look is retained, as the original centre section with the RS logo is reused, so the pipe does not stand out once fitted. Our flow-optimised HF-Series intake pipe is perfect for the Focus Mk3 RS, as we make this pipe without any narrow points and, thanks to the modified design, can achieve 42% more air mass compared with the standard component. Thanks to state-of-the-art flow animations and other computer simulations, this aluminium performance part with CNC flange and handmade outlets was created. This is the only way the air can reach the turbocharger with an optimum, even flow. The results are higher maximum power and improved response. In the connection area to the turbocharger in particular, a special CNC-milled cone is used. This creates a step-free transition without the factory turbulence in this area.
