This HF-Series real carbon intake kit for the Golf 8 series with EA888 Gen.4 engines is the perfect solution for maximum air flow combined with a perfect look and approval.* It also treats you to a first-class intake sound. It is a very important component, because only when the entire path up to the turbocharger is optimised can the full potential of turbocharger and engine be made available. The kit consists of a silicone upgrade intake hose with the maximum possible inner diameter (89mm/3.5" at the air filter) and a real carbon box with larger volume and significantly improved air flow compared with the standard intake. This is also shown by our flowbench measurement, with an impressive increase of +58% and 70% respectively. There is more than enough reserve here even for large turbocharger conversions. An oiled polymer foam filter developed by us especially for the system is used as the filter element; it has an 89mm/3.5" connection. Optionally, you can combine this intake with our HF-Series turbo inlet, which then also eliminates the last reduction/bottleneck at the turbocharger inlet (only needed for the 245PS engines, e.g. in the GTI; the 300/320 PS engines as in the Clubsport or R have a different inlet because of the different turbocharger, which cannot be improved and already works optimally — we tested this extensively with 9 attempts/prototypes on the flowbench). To make the look particularly “clean” and avoid adding an unnecessary bulge to the box, we have routed the water hose under the airbox. Here, too, we use our SF-Hoses silicone. The hose is included in the scope of delivery. Our separately available carbon engine cover is made with the weave in exactly the same structure and alignment and transforms your engine bay from a dull, boring environment into a true carbon landscape.
