This intake kit replaces the entire engine cover including the air filter and intake funnel. Already when removing the original parts you will notice that the original intake funnel is restrictive. The improved airbox of the HFI Gen.2 “Plus” intake system offered here is made of carbon fibre and has a special DRY Pipercross sports air filter developed especially for the system, which is not oiled and therefore does not damage the mass air flow sensor. In addition, unlike the regular Gen.2 HFI air intake, this “Plus” intake delivers a power gain of up to 8 PS and 15 Nm of torque on already tuned engines without further software optimisation. (Depending on the software optimisation.) On tuned vehicles we also recommend using an additional heat shield for the manifold. (available as an option) A generation 2 HF-Series intake pipe serves as the connection between airbox and turbocharger; it optimises the intake air routing, amplifies the turbo sound and visually enhances the engine bay.
