Thanks to the high-quality bar ’n’ plate core, the intercooler offers optimum cooling properties, even under extreme conditions. While comparable cores from other manufacturers quickly reach their limits, our system remains robust, resilient and thermally stable. More power through optimised flow. The intercooler was developed using state-of-the-art CAD flow analyses. Result: minimal pressure loss and a particularly flow-efficient charge-air path. The high-strength cast aluminium end tanks feature our WAY FIN TECHNOLOGY, which makes cooling even more efficient. Advantages of the 70 mm connection diameter. Unlike many standard or competitor systems, the HF-Series intercooler relies on generous 70 mm connections. More throughput: allows higher air volumes without bottlenecks. Better performance with tuning setups: especially with software optimisation, a larger turbocharger or stage 2 conversions, the larger connection diameter is a clear advantage. Future-proof: even with later power increases, the system remains durable and optimally designed. Advantages of the integrated air guide fins. Another highlight are the specially developed air guide fins inside the intercooler: even air distribution across the entire core → prevents hotspots. Each individual intercooler was built on the respective vehicle, calculated in flow simulations and tested on our in-house dyno. This intercooler is mounted on the original mounting points of the original OEM intercooler and therefore requires no major adaptation work. Customers with a well-stocked toolbox can carry out the installation themselves. What exactly does an upgrade intercooler do for you? To express the exact additional power of an intercooler in figures, many unknown factors have to be taken into account, such as: power variation from the factory, other hardware modifications and the software used for the measurement. This differs from vehicle to vehicle. As a rule of thumb, on tuned engines you can expect up to 5% - 10%. But what is at least as important: whether your engine is already optimised or is to remain standard in terms of software, you prevent a loss of power, especially at high outside temperatures, or even reaching the temperature protection stored in many ECUs, and can therefore always count on your engine’s full power. Recommendation: use our HF-Series intercoolers as a combination of hardware & software optimisation. Reducing the back pressure (relieving the turbocharger) and cooling the charge air (more oxygen in the combustion chamber + thermal relief) results in a performance tune that makes efficient use of the potential of any turbocharged engine. When you look into hardware or software tuning of your vehicle, you must not ignore the factor “boost pressure loss” either. If you increase your vehicle’s power with chip tuning, the boost pressure is also raised in 99% of cases. With the standard intercooler, the boost pressure loss rises exponentially. This means that the turbocharger has to work even harder, so the thermal load on the turbocharger rises and its service life falls, or it wears faster due to high speeds. With our HF-Series intercoolers we strike the perfect balance between cooling effect and boost pressure loss.
