This intercooler for the Audi RS3 and TT RS is a highlight of the HF-Series range. The high-quality and extremely robust core used in this intercooler has excellent cooling properties to deliver top performance even in poor conditions. It is highly resistant and has excellent heat dissipation, so the intercooler does not heat up as much as comparable products from other manufacturers. Not only the cast aluminium end tanks, developed using 3D CAD, but also the minimal pressure loss make this intercooler a product that no vehicle should be without.

A combination with ECE-approved exhaust systems is also confirmed in the parts certificate and described as follows: combination with type-approved replacement exhaust systems in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 540/2014; Directive 70/157/EEC; ECE-R51; ECE-R59 and a replacement catalytic converter in accordance with ECE 103R from other manufacturers is also permitted. Earlier response & improved power: What exactly does an upgrade intercooler do for you? To express the exact additional power of an intercooler in figures, many unknown factors have to be taken into account, such as: power variation from the factory, other hardware modifications and the software used for the measurement. This differs from vehicle to vehicle. As a rule of thumb, on tuned engines you can expect up to 5% - 10%. But what is at least as important: whether your engine is already optimised or is to remain standard in terms of software, you prevent a loss of power, especially at high outside temperatures, or even reaching the temperature protection stored in many ECUs, and can therefore always count on your engine’s full power. Recommendation: use our HF-Series intercoolers as a combination of hardware & software optimisation. Reducing the back pressure (relieving the turbocharger) and cooling the charge air (more oxygen in the combustion chamber + thermal relief) results in a performance tune that makes efficient use of the potential of any turbocharged engine. When you look into hardware or software tuning of your vehicle, you must not ignore the factor “boost pressure loss” either. If you increase your vehicle’s power with chip tuning, the boost pressure is also raised in 99% of cases. With the standard intercooler, the boost pressure loss rises exponentially. This means that the turbocharger has to work even harder, so the thermal load on the turbocharger rises and its service life falls, or it wears faster due to high speeds. With our HF-Series intercoolers we strike the perfect balance between cooling effect and boost pressure loss.
