In the Ford GT from model year 2016 the 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 sits behind the cabin in a very tightly packaged rear end that leaves barely any room for the exhaust routing. It is exactly there that the pipe run decides the sound. The GRAIL valved exhaust system exploits the available space with larger cross-sections and shifts the character of the six-cylinder from damped to clear and rev-focused.
