The MINI Cooper S and the John Cooper Works of the F5x series rely on a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo and a deliberately short wheelbase – a concept that lives on acoustic feedback. With a particulate filter fitted, that feedback is very restrained from the factory. The GRAIL OPF-back valved exhaust system gives the four-cylinder back its growling foundation and the typical overrun noises.

This exhaust system holds an ECE type approval and therefore requires no individual approval* for road use.
