The Ferrari 812 GTS brings the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 into an open body, where the twelve-cylinder acts directly on the occupants. With a particulate filter fitted, however, the standard sound is noticeably more damped than on the early model years. The GRAIL OPF-back valved exhaust system starts behind the filter and restores the edge and the upper-register definition that carry the open 812 acoustically.

This exhaust system holds an ECE type approval and therefore requires no individual approval* for road use.
