Early Golf 7 R cars are deliberately restrained at the rear, and many of them run silver or anthracite wheels. Unpolished stainless steel suits that better than a dark coating. The GRAIL tailpipe set in stainless steel keeps the restraint but, in the four-outlet version, brings visibly more pipe area into the valance.
