Between the manifold and the rear muffler the sixth-generation Mustang carries a centre muffler that still holds sound back even on a GRAIL system already fitted. The XTREME H-pipe replaces this section on the facelift model from 2018 with an open cross connection. The result is a full, deep eight-cylinder tone with considerably more volume in the mid rev range.

This exhaust system holds an ECE type approval and therefore requires no individual approval* for road use.
