GFB VTA T9430 blow-off valve VAG 1.2/ 1.4 TSI without OE diverter valve (GFBDVT9430)

Caution: this item only fits vehicles with a 1.2/ 1.4 TSI engine that no longer have a diverter valve fitted from the factory. These can be recognised by the three intake ports (marked in the picture below). So if the engine bay of your 1.2/1.4 TSI looks like this, this item fits. The original valves already leak straight from the factory, which causes a loss of power that is even more pronounced on tuned vehicles because of the higher boost pressure. On the Audi, VW, Skoda and SEAT 1.2/1.4 TSI models from approx. model year 2014, diverter valves are no longer fitted at the factory. This results in turbo surging during load changes (gear shifts), which is not good for the durability of the turbocharger. GFB has a solution to this problem with the T9430 VTA valve: during load changes, the valve vents excess boost pressure to the atmosphere and thus prevents turbo surging. In this way the turbocharger is protected and the valve produces the familiar blow-off sound (“whoosh”). In addition, these vehicles have no mass air flow sensor, so the vented air does not adversely affect engine running. Thanks to the ingenious system, the T9430 can be installed plug and play in the charge-air circuit by replacing a small plastic charge-air pipe. Caution: open diverter valves / blow-off valves are not road-legal under the German StVZO.
