This valve fits if a vacuum-controlled valve is installed directly on the turbocharger. Thanks to GFB TMS technology, no different springs are needed for the respective boost pressures; the valve regulates itself. Caution: bi-turbo models such as the Porsche 997 Turbo need 2 valves. GFBDVT9354 The perfect tuning upgrade for up to 30% faster boost build-up. The GFB DV+ T9354 replaces the original vacuum-controlled diverter valve and is a purely performance-oriented product that offers the following advantages: Faster throttle response Faster boost build-up after gear changes/full load Eliminates boost leaks as with original valves Built to last forever No registration required, as it is still a closed system. The T9354 is a 1:1 replacement for the original diverter valve on vehicles with vacuum-controlled BorgWarner turbochargers, as used e.g. by Ford, Volvo, Porsche & Opel. With GFB TMS technology, the T9354 can build up boost pressure up to 30% faster. In addition, the T9354 eliminates the boost leaks present in many original diverter valves, which thanks to the high-quality manufacturing can no longer occur by design. The original diverter valves have several drawbacks. 1: Higher boost pressure & thermal load when tuning. Turbocharged vehicles achieve most of their performance increase by raising the boost pressure. The original diverter valves are usually located directly on the turbocharger, where they are exposed to high temperatures. The high boost pressure and high temperatures often cause the original valves to leak, e.g. cracks in the diaphragm. Often, however, this damage goes unnoticed, because the ECU counteracts the loss of boost pressure by driving the turbocharger harder, which puts a strain on the turbo. The result is greater turbocharger wear, higher exhaust gas temperatures and loss of power, up to major engine damage. 2: Throttle input is not taken into account. Original diverter valves do not take the accelerator pedal position into account. The original valve has only two positions: either fully open or fully closed. The original valve is not able to control the boost pressure individually according to the accelerator pedal position. Depending on the existing boost pressure and the accelerator pedal position or movement, the T9354 can open and close the valve individually with every intermediate step. By design, boost leaks can no longer occur.
