EGO-X 76 mm exhaust system for Audi RS4 / RS5 B9 OPF - Valved exhaust with electric valve control The newly developed EGO-X exhaust system for Audi RS4 and RS5 B9 models with OPF sets new standards in flow, sound and performance. Compared with the previous generation, the system has been comprehensively revised and consistently designed for maximum throughput and modern valve technology. A key highlight is the fully continuous 76 mm (3 inch) pipe routing, which starts right from the standard Y-pipes and replaces the OEM front silencers. Compared with the standard system, this significantly reduces exhaust back pressure, improves response and creates ideal conditions for powerful set-ups. 76 mm full-flow concept for maximum performance The continuous 3-inch construction ensures particularly high exhaust throughput and noticeably relieves the load on the turbochargers - ideal for both stock vehicles and performance-optimised applications. The tailpipe connection has also been implemented without compromise: each tailpipe connection has a connection diameter of 76 mm, so the high flow is consistently maintained all the way to the rear. No tapering, no unnecessary restrictions - true full-flow design (with the valve open). New electric valve control Another highlight of the new development is the switch to electric exhaust valves. This modern solution allows precise valve actuation and combines sporty sound with everyday usability at the highest level. Combined with the typical EGO-X sound character, the result is a powerful, deep sound with a motorsport-like presence - without compromise on quality or workmanship. Like all EGO-X systems, this system is handmade using the TIG welding process and consists of high-quality stainless steel with elaborately manufactured absorption silencers, for maximum durability and optimum gas flow. With ECE operating licence*: *Only applies to the following selection in the “Operating mode” field: Bull-X Tronic control unit (with ECE operating licence). This valved exhaust system has ECE approval, so it can be used on the road without being entered in your vehicle documents. Caution: exhaust systems with ECE are not affected by the “valve ban” and may continue to be used completely legally on the road. While driving you can decide whether you want to drive in comfort or sport mode. If your vehicle has a drive profile selection, it can be controlled via that. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control can be via a supplied button. The button’s LED lighting tells you whether the valve is currently open (light off) or closed (light on). The control unit automatically closes the valve in all ranges required by the ECE regulation, regardless of which mode you are driving in. In general, the Bull-X Tronic offers two control options: - Sport (Dynamic, Race): within the approved limits of the ECE regulation, the valve is always open. When stationary, the valve is always closed. - Comfort mode: the valve is always closed, but opens while driving within the approved limits of the ECE regulation from 75% throttle opening. Without ECE operating licence*: *Applies to the following 3 options in the “Operating mode” field: exhaust valve control via switch / exhaust valve control via remote control / Bull-X Tronic “Race” CAN bus control unit. If the vehicle has a drive profile selection (sport button), control via this is also possible. For vehicles without drive profile selection, control can be via a supplied button. The button’s LED lighting tells you whether the valve is currently open (light off) or closed (light on). If you have also bought the Bull-X Tronic control unit, it is still possible to open the valve when stationary, but while driving the control unit regulates the exhaust valve according to ECE guidelines. In general, the Bull-X Tronic offers two control options: - Sport (Dynamic, Race) - Comfort mode (valve opens from 75% throttle opening). The “without ECE operating licence” version is not approved for use on public roads - For racing purposes only! CAUTION! The exhaust system offered is not approved under the German road traffic licensing regulations (StVZO)! With the ECE Bull-X Tronic control and the EC catalytic converter you may legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other controls and/or catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit an exhaust system WITHOUT ECE approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority.
