With the facelift the Golf 7 R received a more strongly drawn rear valance with a more clearly separated diffuser section. Four exposed carbon exits take up that sharpening rather than smoothing it out. The GRAIL tailpipe set in carbon places two pipes per side into the revised valance and ties the weave pattern to the harder contours of the later Golf 7 R.
