The EGO-X exhaust system for the BMW M2 F87 was developed to take the characterful sound of the N55 engine to a whole new level. The uncompromising construction, the large pipe diameter of 3.5" (89 mm) and the flow-optimised design create a particularly emotional, aggressive and at the same time refined sound character. Made using precise TIG welding and equipped with handmade absorption silencers without chambers, this system combines maximum sound performance with perfect fit and high-quality stainless steel workmanship. This results in: a more even sound character more harmonious exhaust routing no “visually dead” tailpipe when closed maximum performance even with the valves closed Even in quiet mode with the valves closed, the system can easily handle outputs of over 700 PS. This is made possible by: two fully built 63 mm bypass pipes no restrictions or reductions of any kind an effective total cross-section that exceeds even the single-pipe 89 mm section This ensures: extremely low exhaust back pressure excellent flow maximum durability even with high-performance set-ups Special features of the EGO-X valve technology The rear silencer of the EGO-X system has a specially developed internal structure with different pipe routings - depending on the valve position.
