The HG-Motorsport 3" / 76mm downpipe for the Subaru WRX STI can be swapped 1:1 for the factory part. Perfect fit and high-quality materials make this item a top product in our range. The flange at the turbocharger outlet has been designed without a step. Optimising the diameter, pipe routing and catalytic converter (if selected) greatly reduces the load on the turbocharger. Lower back pressure and reduced thermal load produce a clear gain in torque, power and earlier response. All this while at the same time extending durability. In combination with an EGO-X system, it is made on request without the reducing flange, and a 20cm long 3" sleeve is supplied so that 76mm is run throughout. If you already have a different exhaust system fitted and need a different connection diameter without the factory flange, just write to us; we can make it to any size you want. CAUTION! All catalytic converters/cat replacement pipes offered, except the EC-tested catalytic converter from HJS, are not approved under the German road traffic regulations! Only with the EC catalytic converter may you legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit a downpipe with a catalytic converter WITHOUT EC approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority. Note: the catalytic converter option “with 200-cell ECE HJS sports catalytic converter (without operating licence)” bears a test mark without vehicle assignment for the Subaru WRX STI and therefore has no operating licence here.
