BULL-X Exhausts produces downpipes at the highest level. Like the 2.5" stainless steel downpipe for all front-wheel-drive turbocharged 1.4 TSI / TFSI VAG models. (does not fit vehicles with both turbocharger and supercharger) The downpipe is perfectly suited to both stock and tuned vehicles. Fitting it results in a performance increase, better response and lower exhaust gas temperatures, which also relieves the turbocharger. We recommend using our multi-layer metal gasket with a 63mm inner diameter, as the original gasket only has an inner diameter of 57mm. Before ordering, please check whether your original part has a 2-hole flange on the underside, or whether it is one-piece or two-piece. If your original catalytic converter does not have a 2-hole flange on the underside or is not one-piece, the downpipe cannot be fitted.

Technical details:

  • - Pipe diameter 63.5 mm - available optionally with dummy cat, 200-cell sports cat, or with 200-cell HJS sports catalytic converter incl. ECE operating licence - The downpipe is TIG-welded. - Material stainless steel - incl. adapter to the original exhaust system - *optionally also with approval under the StVZO If a catalytic converter variant without ECE approval is selected, the following applies to this item: This item is not approved for use on public roads - For racing purposes only! CAUTION! All catalytic converters/cat replacement pipes offered, except the EC-tested catalytic converter from HJS, are not approved under the German road traffic regulations! Only with the EC catalytic converter may you legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit a downpipe with a catalytic converter WITHOUT EC approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority. Catalytic converter information If you select a downpipe without a cat or with a 100/200-cell cat, the control unit may log an error message from the post-cat lambda sensor; this does not restrict driving, as the first lambda sensor is still there for engine management. The post-cat sensor is only responsible for monitoring the cat’s effectiveness. This can be programmed out by a chip tuner by adapting the software. Most vehicles up to the Euro 3 emissions standard have no post-cat oxygen sensor, and installation is possible without further adaptation and without error messages. The washcoat content of HJS ECE and EOBD cats is significantly higher and is characterised by a very high oxygen storage capacity, which means error messages can be avoided. The EOBD cats have been tested for this up to Euro 4. Durability and use up to the Euro 6 emissions standard are of course guaranteed. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided if a cat with ECE approval is selected.
