The vehicle-specific CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for your VW Corrado facelift - perfectly integrated with all data always in view. The vehicle-specific MFD28 Gen2 turns your air vent into an intelligent display with features you won’t want to be without. Our displays are designed so that anyone can install them. For most models there are illustrated fitting instructions, so you can install your display without a visit to a workshop. Key features Perfect integration: the vehicle-specific bezel still allows air to flow past the display CAN bus: reads in-depth vehicle data like manufacturer diagnostic tools Gear indicator: directly via CAN bus or calculated from speed and rpm Touchscreen: navigate through the pages with intuitive swipe gestures Customisation: design your own pages, add your own images or your own start animation Additional inputs: connect up to 4 analogue inputs and an ethanol sensor directly to the display CAN switching: use your display as a keypad and send your own CAN messages on the bus Customisable alarms: individual warnings can easily be configured and activated. For example, get a big warning message when the exhaust gas temperature is above 900 degrees Logging: log and save your data on the internal SD card for later analysis Performance meter: measure your 0-100, 100-200 and 0-200 times with the integrated performance meter without additional hardware DTC*: read and clear fault codes from the engine ECU, gearbox, ABS and all-wheel drive Dimming*: your display dims automatically together with the instrument panel Different views Configure your own page or choose from various predefined views: the display is supplied with predefined example pages Creating your own pages is possible and encouraged Up to ten pages possible 20 different widget types (e.g. sensor value, analogue needle, YT chart, rev bar, round gauge, vertical/horizontal bar) Widgets scalable in size and positionable via drag and drop Widget colours fully adjustable Up to 64 widgets per page Display Setup Software - DSS. With the CANchecked DSS you can adapt your display completely to your wishes. With the integrated log viewer you can download and view the log files. A CAN logger is also integrated. The heart of it is the integrated TRI editor, with which you can adjust the sensors (whether CAN bus or internal): assign min/max values for warnings and change the names of your sensors. Supported values. Many customers always ask: which values can I read from my ECU? The answer: ALL. We have reverse-engineered the data for most engines and can offer in-depth data. In addition to CAN bus data queries (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols), our display supports (ISO 9141). As standard, your display is supplied with ready-made TRI/TRX files. The files define all the sensors that are queried. These differ from engine to engine. Here is an excerpt of what is possible: Temperatures: exhaust gas temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, fuel temperature, DSG temperature Pressures: boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure of the lift pump, actual/target rail pressure Lambda/mixture: lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adaptation, long-term lambda adaptation Other: engine speed, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition retard per cylinder, N75 duty cycle in %, terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values If values are missing, we can add them later. Scope of delivery Every delivery includes: MFD28 Gen2 data display integrated in the vent insert for RHD vehicles Connector A (8-pin Molex) Connector B (10-pin Molex) Pre-assembled connection cables in various colours (length: 20 cm, purpose: power supply, CAN bus, analogue inputs, 5V, sensor ground) Pins for crimping yourself Two 1K resistors (as pull-ups for connecting third-party NTC sensors) Quickstart guide USB data cable SD card (preinstalled in the display) SD card adapter Display film (to prevent reflections) Connection and extension Any sensors can be connected via the four analogue inputs - we support both linear 0-5V and NTC sensors. Our in-house CANchecked sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files as standard and only need to be connected: AIN1: temperature sensor (NTC01) AIN2: converter for type K exhaust gas temperature probe (TCC01) AIN3: pressure sensor 0-10 bar (FLP01) AIN4: boost pressure sensor 0-5.5 bar absolute (BST10) For the connection you can use our pre-assembled AIN wiring harness. In addition to the analogue sensors, you can also connect our external shift light with 8 LEDs. It can flash in different colours, and the rpm limits and colours can be configured directly on the display. You connect the ethanol sensor directly to the display. You need a pull-up resistor (10K) between 5V and signal. You can then view and log the ethanol content and temperature directly on the display. Advanced functions. With the math channels you can combine sensors with each other. The user tables give you the option of generating further sensors using 2D or 3D maps. Optional accessories CC24000 SLM08 - external shift light module CC22780 ANC04 - four-way AIN wiring harness 300cm CC22100 CBD08 - eight-way CAN distribution hub CC22902 NTC01 - temperature sensor for fluids 1/8 inch NPT CC22903 TCC01 - type K converter 0-1250°C CC22901 FLP01 - pressure sensor 0-10 bar (145psi) M10x1 CC22904 BST10 - pressure sensor 6.5 bar relative (95psi) * not available with all protocols
