HG Motorsport Catch can set VAG 2.0 T(F)SI EA888 (e.g. Golf 6 GTI, A3 8P) (HGPCVVAG06)

This system was developed by HF-Series to ensure the longevity of your engine. Increase your engine’s performance and longevity with an HF-Series catch can set. Despite the diversion of oil and water vapours into the catch can, the emission limits (Euro standard) continue to be met. Fitting the system also makes combustion cleaner. Normally, the oil and water vapours are routed into the intake manifold, where, after entering the combustion chamber, they are ignited together with the fuel-air mixture and expelled. Because of the direct injection system of the TSI models, the cylinder heads and valves are no longer flushed with fuel. This means that the fuel normally used for cleaning is missing, because it is injected directly into the combustion chamber. As a result, deposits build up massively due to exhaust gas recirculation combined with the oil and water vapours from the crankcase ventilation. These settle on the chambers of the cylinder heads and on the valves. These deposits make the material surface rough, the air duct cross-sections narrow, and neither optimum air swirl nor optimum cylinder filling is achieved. The consequences are poorer emission values, power losses and higher consumption. At an advanced stage, these deposits even interfere with the valve train, so that some valves no longer close and there is no compression in the affected cylinders, which leads to misfires. In the worst case, this can lead to engine damage. The HF-Series catch can set remedies this problem once and for all. Notes: The catch can system also fits with the OEM intake/engine cover. The factory-fitted pipe to the sound amplifier must be removed! Cannot be fitted in combination with the factory sound amplifier. For vehicles without a sound amplifier, please select the bracket for the catch can in the set options.
