This Bull-X dummy front silencer for Golf 8 GTI models combines the sound advantage of a replacement pipe with the look of an OEM silencer. Dimensions, appearance and material match the factory part, so it is inconspicuous when fitted. The pipe diameter remains 65mm, which is a clear advantage over the often-offered “slip-in solution” with a 63mm stainless steel pipe, since, unlike our solution, these reduce the inner diameter to 59mm with a wall thickness of 2mm. CAUTION! The dummy front silencer offered is not approved under the German road traffic licensing regulations (StVZO)! Only with an ECE exhaust system and the EC catalytic converter may you legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit a downpipe with a catalytic converter WITHOUT EC approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion and possible investigations by the environmental authority.
