Then you should start with a Bull-X product! The downpipe plays a decisive role in pulling power and performance. It is the “link” between the turbocharger and the exhaust system. The larger the pipe diameter and the higher the pipe’s flow capacity, the more easily the turbocharger can expel the exhaust gases through the exhaust system. This has a positive effect on torque, power and the sound! (especially in combination with a modified exhaust system) The advantages at a glance: • the turbocharger can expel the exhaust gases more easily, which results in more power • more torque, as the turbocharger reaches speed faster and is no longer slowed down as much • lower exhaust gas temperature, which relieves the manifold & turbocharger • fitting is “plug and play” thanks to the OEM connection • fits all quattro and front-wheel-drive models incl. facelift models! • Made of stainless steel Adapting the engine management after fitting is absolutely essential! The sensor connections are not present on this item. Note: In model years 2004/2005 there are some 2.7/3.0 TDI models that were fitted ex works without a DPF and have 2 oxidation cats instead. On these models the DPF replacement pipe does not fit. The Bull-X downpipe / cat replacement pipe: fits all models. To reduce the exhaust gas temperature much more significantly for higher performance increases and to make full use of the extra sound (in combination with a modified exhaust system), we recommend fitting the complete downpipe. This item is not approved for use on public roads - For racing purposes only! CAUTION! All catalytic converters/cat replacement pipes offered, except the EC-tested catalytic converter from HJS, are not approved under the German road traffic regulations! Only with the EC catalytic converter may you legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit a downpipe with a catalytic converter WITHOUT EC approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority.
