The HG-Motorsport 3" / 76mm downpipe for the Ford Focus MK3 ST can be swapped 1 to 1 for the factory part. Perfect fit and high-quality materials make this item a top product in our range. The flange at the turbocharger outlet has been designed without steps to optimise flow. Optimising the diameter, pipe routing and catalytic converter greatly reduces the load on the turbocharger. Lower back pressure and reduced thermal load produce a clear gain in torque, power and earlier response, while at the same time extending durability. Technical details Plug & play solution - perfect fit, simply swaps for the original component 76mm / 3" diameter flange without a step high-quality materials stainless steel, TIG-welded Made in Germany - genuine quality from our own production *optionally without catalytic converter, incl. 100-cell sports cat, incl. 200-cell sports cat, with Bull-X 200-cell EOBD sports cat by HJS or with 200-cell HJS sports catalytic converter incl. ECE operating licence The advantages of this product are: flow-optimised and performance-enhancing, improved durability and response optimum evacuation of exhaust gases no disruptive edges at the transitions Designed and developed using flow simulation. Tested on the dyno. No more heat build-up at the turbocharger, and therefore less thermal load on the turbo. Better response and increased performance. Fuller exhaust sound (especially in combination with a sports exhaust system) Downpipe flow bench measurement at 10" air column OEM: 219 cfm Bull-X with ECE: 321 cfm +47% more exhaust gas mass that can be discharged! If a catalytic converter variant without ECE approval is selected, the following applies to this item: This item is not approved for use on public roads - For racing purposes only! CAUTION! All catalytic converters/cat replacement pipes offered, except the EC-tested catalytic converter from HJS, are not approved under the German road traffic regulations! Only with the EC catalytic converter may you legally drive your vehicle on public roads. The use of all other catalytic converters is intended for racing purposes only. If, despite our notice, you fit a downpipe with a catalytic converter WITHOUT EC approval, you are committing a criminal offence. Possible consequences include: invalidation of the operating licence, decommissioning of the vehicle, a complaint for tax evasion, and possible investigations by the environmental authority. Catalytic converter information If you select a downpipe without a cat or with a 100/200-cell cat, the control unit may log an error message from the post-cat lambda sensor; this does not restrict driving, as the first lambda sensor is still there for engine management. The post-cat sensor is only responsible for monitoring the cat’s effectiveness. This can be programmed out by a chip tuner by adapting the software. Most vehicles up to the Euro 3 emissions standard have no post-cat oxygen sensor, and installation is possible without further adaptation and without error messages. The washcoat content of HJS ECE and EOBD cats is significantly higher and is characterised by a very high oxygen storage capacity, which means error messages can be avoided. The EOBD cats have been tested for this up to Euro 4. Durability and use up to the Euro 6 emissions standard are of course guaranteed. On Euro 5/6 vehicles, the points mentioned above can only be avoided if a cat with ECE approval is selected.
